Setting up the Strad cello. Once the string grooves are deepened to give 0,75mm under the C string and 0.5mm
under the A - the grooves will be faired off to give approx one third the string diameter deep. Roughly - A steel C is
1.7mm - the G 1.15 - D 1 - and A 0.75mm. This is the 2nd - I got carried away filing the first before I actually glued it on and
went too low for the C ! They don't take long to rough out - but its not my favourite thing to shape !
